XYZprinting Da Vinci 1.0

The first real plug-and-play 3D printer for consumers. This printer has a very attractive price tag and is easy to use.

Information

Please note: we recently presented the successor of this model, the Da Vinci 1.0 Pro.
Therefore we do not recommend this model, given the small difference in price and the fact that this model is slightly outdated.

The Da Vinci 1.0 by XYZ printing is a real starter model and - thanks to the affordable price and extensive plug and play possibilities - very suitable for users and enthusiast who want to start with 3D printing.

The build platform of this printer is 20 mm x 200 mm x 200 mm and the printer uses ABS filament with a thickness of 1.75 mm. XYZ Printing uses its own filament cartridges, which makes everything easier.
The disadvantage is that the filament is a bit more expensive than regular filaments and XYZ currently only has ABS filaments. PLA and PET are not available yet.

The reason for this choice is certainly the price of the printer; XYZ Printing has obviously chosen to market a cheaper, high-quality printer, and to make its profit by selling their own type of filaments.
A good choice, since XYZ Printing has largely taken over the consumer market with the Da Vinci 1.0.

Plug and play

The Da Vinci 1.0 is a real plug and play 3D printer.
Installation is very easy, the accompanying software is very easy, and the calibration process works automatically.
Since the printer can only handle ABS, it obviously has a heated build surface.

Printing

The Da Vinci 1.0 has a single extruder (1 print head) and prints layers of 10 to 40 microns (0.1 tot 0.4 mm). Prints are very accurate, though this means that the speed is a little slower than most printers in the same class (max. 150 mm per second).

Big brother

A couple of months ago, the Da Vinci 1.0 got a big brother, the Da Vinci 2.0 Even though the printers are roughly the same, there is a big difference: the Da Vinci 2.0 has a dual extruder (2 print heads). This means that it can print with 2 filaments/materials at the same time, which offers more speed and more possibilities.

The Da Vinci 1.0 is suitable for:

The Da Vinci 1.0 is very suitable for starting enthusiasts, consumers, and amateurs. This printer is also very suitable for schools and primary schools.

We do not recommend this device to businesses, since the filaments cost more and there is a maximum building height of 20 cm.
